No, Our City Plans is designed to be user friendly and easy to use. It includes activities with clear step-by-step instructions, tools to support them, and additional resources. No certification or training is required. There are many different ways to receive support from Our City Plans, see more on ENGAGE WITH US and contact our team.
Video tutorials will be available soon. Additionally, Our City Plans offers capacity building sessions and technical assistance upon request and tailored to the demand of the organisation/user. For now, you can find a video of Our City Plans training in Spanish.

For now, the toolbox is just in English but we are looking for partners to collaborate with us to translate Our City Plans. If you are interested in joining this effort, please contact us.
Our City Plans toolbox aims to be flexible and adapt to each specific context. You will be able to customise your own process to your city context, needs, and planning objectives. Responding to a questionnaire, the digital platform will adapt based on your answers. Your technical team can access the process results and see if any additional activity is needed or any activity needs to be removed. UN-Habitat can also provide technical assistance in case your municipality may need, there are many different ways to receive support from Our City Plans, see more on ENGAGE WITH US and contact our team.
The indicated duration of the activities is a reference. The total duration of each activity and planning process will vary according to the local context, the needs, the size and the capacity of the technical team. The Our City Plans Questionnaire will provide better guidance on this.
Our City Plans toolbox aims to be flexible and adapt to each specific context. You are able to save (add) or unsafe (remove) activities, and move the order around according to your needs. To know which activities should be kept, we suggest taking the Questionnaire and selecting at least the mandatory option for all the cross-cutting components. The most important activities will be selected.
Our City Plans is an incremental and participatory methodology in regards to the planning process and its development. The methodology is continuously updated and reviewed according to UN-Habitat’s global experience and feedback from users. Your contributions are very welcome!
