Our City Plans platform aims to create a direct point of contact between UN-Habitat planning experts and urban planning actors. We seek to collaborate with institutions around the world and support them incorporating the methodology in their urban planning processes. The customisation is made according to the purpose of the plan and to the available resources, Our City Plans can provide training, support customise the methodology to the local needs, provide technical assistance and/or co-develop activities or plans with the local technical team.

Our City Plans aims to be inclusive and accessible to every person in the world, leaving no one and no place behind. We are looking for organisations (e.g. universities, municipalities, planning agencies, etc.) with interest to collaborate in translating the methodology from English to other languages. These can partner with UN-Habitat through a pro-bono agreement. Both translators and organisations will be acknowledged on the translated product. The selection criteria will be according to the organisations’ capacities and priority will be given to United Nations official languages.

This digital platform aims to advance the implementation of participatory planning processes in cities globally. However, many cities that need this step-by-step methodology do not have enough resources to carry out inclusive and sustainable urban planning processes. We are looking for investors and donors to help Our City Plans reach the cities that need it the most, and strengthen local capacities through training and technical assistance. Moreover, donations will enable the digital platform to be a living product that is continuously updated and evolving as we implement the methodology across the world. Through one-time or recurrent donations, individuals and organisations can support the localization of the SDGs and the New Urban Agenda globally, through Our City Plans.
